Dom zu Salzburg in Old Town, Salzburg, Austria

We got to Salzburg around four in the afternoon and were met at the train station by my friend from Peru, Niko. We had met while he ran the program I volunteered for in the summer of 2013, and I was so excited to get to see him again in his home country! He showed us all around Salzburg city, and we went to a great dinner not far from the hotel he helped put us up in. (If you ever go to Salzburg you must check it out; Villa Carlton. It was absolutely gorgeous, perfect location, and super reasonable). His family has owned a beer company in Austria since 1601, and it is one of the most popular in Austria so we got to try a bunch and it was so good!! I’m not usually a beer person, so trust me, if I think it was good it must be. It’s called Trumer Pils if you ever see it!
